ROVEMA announces new patented multi-filling and multi-packing system for VFFS machines- The CBF System
Norcross, GA- In today’s markets, to offer multipacks or variety packs of products in a carton, case, or outer bag, each flavor or variety must be processed and packaged on their own line and funneled to one of more case packers, or each variety is packaged in individual runs and held in work-in-process until they can be hand-fed to the packaging component. Both of these methods require a lot of facility space and labor to keep the process running smoothly.
Even for unique items like fasteners for build-it-yourself furniture, mixed packages of plant bulbs, or variety packs of pouched pet foods, these products need to be individually packaged accurately and then packed together. ROVEMA has patented and launched a unique innovation for product dosing and product infeed to address this need for package and dose flexibility in such a wide variety of product types.
The collect, buffer, feed system (CBF) is an innovative and flexible option to dose various components into single or chain bags. The possibilities are nearly endless for the combinations of components. Chunky products, either dosed with volumetric cup feeder, counting machines or scale, can be packed flexibly into a bag or a carton. Identical or mixed units are possible and the innovative control system can also allow for individual mixing. This can be an impactful solution for a wide variety of producers in the food industry, e.g. for cereals, tea, and even meal kits, but also for the non-food industry like flower bulb/plant sets.
New Technology to Debut at PACK EXPO Vegas Booth C-3141
