In this modern age, consumers expect a lot from brands. They expect timely and accurate responses to their requests, they expect quick resolutions to any problems, and they expect a pleasant experience. This means that businesses must be prepared to offer a wide range of services and products at all times. One way to ensure that your customers are always satisfied is by offering a variety of ways to be reached.

We at ROVEMA make this idea a priority. We ask ourselves, "Is what we are doing easy for our customers?" We take the time to ask questions to make sure that we are considering your needs. When we think about the warranty process, the first thing that comes to mind is how terrible the entire process can be. The warranty process is a hassle for many companies in our industry. So we have asked ourselves, how can we make it easier?

What are the standard warranty terms?

If you're filing a warranty claim, then it's likely that you're either on the maintenance staff or a buyer for your company. If you're like most people, you don't have your warranty information on hand. Maybe you don't even know where to look for it! We are here to help. Our standard warranty is pretty complicated. To make things easier for you, we have simplified it just for reference. As always, you should check your specific warranty information to confirm the details, but generally, here's how we do it.

VFFS Machine Investment Protection

What's Covered?

  • Manufacturer's Defects in Non-Wear Items.
  • Software issues causing the machine not to function per the agreed-to specifications.
  • Any damages to the vertical form fill and seal machine caused by a Rovema technician.

What's Not Covered?

  • Wear items: This will include things like belts, seal bands, forming sets, jaws, Teflon, rollers, heaters, and RTDs.
  • Any damage not caused by a manufacturer's defect.
Accidents happen and sometimes an employee cuts a forklift a little too close to a piece of machinery and ends up doing some damage. Sometimes a wrench accidentally gets dropped into the bagger and gets crushed by the jaws, breaking the whole assembly. While we are going to do everything we can to get you back in production, these are not valid warranty claims.
  • Software changes that are needed to run the bag differently than the original agreed-upon specification.

How long is a Standard Warranty?

The standard warranty lasts for 1 year after the customer signs the Site Acceptance Test form or the machine is running a sellable product.

How do I file a warranty claim?

Is there already a ROVEMA technician on-site? If there is, don't worry about it. The ROVEMA tech will take care of everything so you don't have to lift a finger when it comes to filling the claim!

If there is not a technician then you can initiate the warranty process in multiple ways. Just pick the way that's going to work for you!

  • Fill out the form on the right-hand side of this screen! Someone will reach out to you shortly during normal business hours.

  • Send an email to parts@rovema-na.com

  • Call us at 404-640-5310 and ask for the parts department.

*Information you'll need to send via email or have handy when you call us*

  • Machine Serial Number, this should be a 5 digit number located on a plate that is around the fill tube on your machine.
  • The part number in question. If you don't have the part number, give us a pretty good description of what the part is and where it's located on the machine.
  • A description of what's wrong with the part. The best way to fix a broken part is to find and fix the underlying problem. We never like to replace a part without fixing the problem that caused it to break in the first place.

Is there a warranty on spare parts?

Yes! ROVEMA spare parts have the same 1-year warranty that our machines do. Like our new equipment warranty, it doesn't cover the wear items that everybody knows aren't going to last for a year. It doesn't cover non-manufacturer defect scenarios either. When ROVEMA sends you a part though, you can rest assured that we stand behind that part and if it's a non-wear item, it's going to last.

What if I don't know if my machine is under warranty?

Don't hesitate to ask! You can fill out the form to the right, email, call or chat with us in the help chat in the bottom right-hand corner. We would be happy to assist you.

What if I order a part and only realize that I should have filed a warranty claim AFTER I have received it?

No sweat. We might not know that you're ordering the part to replace a broken warranty part when you place the order, but we'll do everything we can to correct the action if you just let us know of the error. Just reach out to us by your method of choice and have the information from question 4 readily available.

Will I need to return the broken part?

Yes. If a part has failed due to a manufacturer's defect, we want to figure out how to make sure it doesn't happen again. That means we need to have the part in hand to be analyzed. This will allow us to provide even better support for years to come and if it's a non-wear item, it's going to last.
