Lockout Procedures

The bagmaker must be properly locked-out before any repair or maintenance tasks can be performed on it. This section describes procedures that should be used to lockout the air and power supplies.

Air Supply Lockout

Use the following procedure to lockout the air supply:

1. Raise the AIR DISCONNECT lever to its horizontal position to disable the air supply to the machine.

2. Place a padlock and tag through the lockout hole.

Lockout Procedures


Electrical Power Supply Lockout 
Use the following procedure to lockout the electrical power supply:

1. Press the STOP push-button to halt the machine.

2. Move the Lockout Handle to the OFF position to disable electrical power to the machine

3. Place a lockout clamp through the lockout hole in the Main Disconnect Switch.

4. Place a Pad Lock (with a Lockout Tag) through one of the holes in the lockout clamp.

5. Attempt to move the Lockout Handle to the ON position.

6. If the Lockout Handle will not move to the ON position then the lockout procedure was successful. If 
the switch will move to the ON position then the lockout procedure was not successful and must be 
performed again.
