Cleaning And Sanitation Procedure (VBC-260L and VBC-260SL)

ROVEMA MODELS VBC-260L AND VBC-260SL

The areas below the forming set collar are not considered food zone except for the tube. For effective cleaning and sanitation, the forming set is designed to be removed, cleaned and sanitized COP. At times however, non-food areas are soiled by product. When this occurs, the following procedure is recommended to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation and to avoid damage to the equipment.

It is the responsibility of the customer and his/her operators to ensure effective cleaning, sanitation and equipment protection.

When the equipment is soiled, conduct a dry pick-up of the entire area. Pay special attention to the cross sealing jaws. Manually remove soil from the jaws and knife cavity. Use a plastic brush if necessary. Avoid using sharp metal objects.

Trash should be placed into appropriate containers and removed from the production area. All packaging and production material should be removed. Disassemble all equipment necessary for effective cleaning. Cover all electrical apparatus including switches.

Pre-rinse all equipment surfaces with cold to warm water using a house pressure water hose.

NOTE:  The purpose of the pre-rinse is to remove only the loose heavy soil build-ups and soil residue.

Apply Soil Off II solution (a manual cleaning product by ECOLAB. Consult with your sanitizing specialist for equivalent products) to all equipment surfaces. Allow solution contact time of 10-15 minutes, being careful not to let the solution dry. Follow instruction and prepare correct concentration for the Soil Off II solution.

NOTE:  Any areas with particularly difficult soils should be scrubbed by hand with the proper color-coded brush or white pad.

Rinse all equipment surfaces with ambient water. Do not rinse with hot water. Rinse the equipment from the top to the bottom.

Inspect all equipment surfaces for cleanliness. Re-scrub as needed. Rinse the area again following the rinsing procedure, and inspect.

Apply Quorum Clear V solution (a sanitizing product by ECOLAB, consult your sanitizing specialist for equivalent products) to all equipment surfaces. Do not rinse. Follow instructions and prepare correct concentration for the Quorum Clear V solution.

THIS RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE IS NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE ANY SANITIZING PROCESS YOU MAY HAVE INTERNALLY.  ROVEMA DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE EFFICACY OF THIS PROCESS. THE EFFICACY OF A CLEANING AND SANITIZING PROCEDURE REMAINS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE END USER.
