Forming set alignment is critical to bag forming.
If the forming set is not properly aligned, the vertical seal may not form or the bags may appear twisted. The forming set alignment positions the forming tube so that it is square with the machine frame and so that there is equal clearance between the forming tube and the forming collar on all sides.
To align the forming tube to the machine frame, adjust the height of the stand offs so that the forming tube is square with the machine frame.
To align the forming collar to the forming tube, loosen the collar bolts and slide the collar around until there is equal clearance (on all sides) between the forming collar and the forming tube.
